Tustin Street CITY OF ORANGE NOTICE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR ACTION PROJECT TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE DESIGN REVIEW NO. 0220-23 TOYOTA OF ORANGE SERVICE BAY REMODEL PROJECT PROPONENT: Logan Asset Management – Casey Griffin PROJECT LOCATION: 1485 N. Tustin Street PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A proposal to remodel an existing commercial building. The remodel will consist of renovating the interior for use as an automobile service center with 32 new service stalls and adding a shade canopy structure to the north -east corner of the property for vehicle detailing. DATE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR ACTION: On or around April 15, 2024, the Community Development Director will consider Administrative Design Review No. 0220-23 – Toyota of Orange Service Bay Remodel. RIGHT OF APPEAL: Any action taken by the Community Development Director in the administration or enforcement of the provisions of the Orange Municipal Code may be appealed by any person aggrieved, or by an officer, commission, or department of the City. Such appeals may be made to the Planning Commission. Any appeal shall be filed within fifteen (15) calendar days after the hearing or action from which the appeal is made. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW: This project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Section 15301 (Class 1 – Existing Facilities) and Section 15303 (Class 3 - New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures), because the project consists of interior renovations to add 32 new service bay stalls which results in no expansion of the existing structure or use, and construction of a new shade canopy.
