CEDARHOUSE MINISTRY AND COFFEEHOUSE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a Public Hearing at a
Regular Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as
the matter may be heard, in the City Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange to consider the
following request:
SUBJECT:An appeal of Planning Commission approval of Conditional Use Permit No. 3210-23, a request
to operate Cedarhouse, a 501(c)3 Ministry and Coffeehouse from an existing commercial property in the
Old Towne Mixed Use -15S (SP) (OTMU-15S(SP)) zoning district. The property is a contributing resource
to the Old Towne Historic District.
PROPERTY LOCATION:611 W. Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION:The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions
of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Class 1 –
Existing Facilities) because the request consists of a Conditional Use Permit for the operation of a religious
institution in an existing private structure.
