NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ADDITION OF CHAPTER 8.38 TO THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE
ESTABLISHING THE VACANT PROPERTY REGISTRATION AND MONITORING
PROGRAM AND ADOPTING A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FEES FOR COSTS
RELATED TO ADMINISTRATION OF THE NEW PROGRAM
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a Public Hearing,Tuesday,
October 10, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chamber, 300 E.
Chapman Avenue, Orange, to consider the following:
(1) adoption of an Ordinance adding Chapter 8.38 to the Orange Municipal Code, requiring the registration and
monitoring of vacant properties as well as adopting general compliance standards related to said vacant properties,
and establishing remedies and penalties for non-compliance with the requirements and standards contained in
Chapter 8.38; and (2) adoption of a Resolution establishing registration and monitoring fees related to the vacant
property registration and monitoring program.
FURTHER INFORMATION: All interested persons may submit comments and may be heard on any relevant
matter relating to the proposed action by mail, eComment, voicemail or in-person, as set forth in the October 10,
2023, City Council agenda.
