SUBJECT:ZONING CODE UPDATES
LOCATION:CITYWIDE
REQUEST:A recommendation to the City Council to update various provisions of
Title 17 of the Orange Municipal Code (the Zoning Code), deleting
outdated language and updating references to conform with current
law and Code provisions and achieve internal consistency.
ENVIRONMENTAL
INFORMATION: The action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15060(c)(2), 15060(c)(3) and
15061(b)(3) of the state CEQA Guidelines because (1) the ordinance
will not result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical
change in the environment and it is not a "project" as defined in
Guideline 15378; and (2) it can be seen with certainty that there is no
possibility that the revisions to the Zoning Code would have a
significant effect on the environment.For this reason, no further
CEQA documentation is required.
