The Design Review committee of the city of orange, california convened on May 18, 2022 at
5:33 p.m. in a regular meeting in the Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Ave., Orange,
California.
1, OPENING/CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chair McDermott called the meeting to order at 5:33 p.m.
1.1 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Vice Chair McDermott led the flag salute.

Present: McDermott, Fox, Skorpanich, and Farfan
Absent: lmboden
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS
None
3. CONSENTCALENDAR
All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the
Design Review Committee and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no
separate discussion of said items unless members of the Design Review Committee,
staff or the public request specific items removed from the Consent Calendar for
separate action.
3.1. Approval of meeting minutes of the Design Review committee of the city of orange for
the May 4, 2022 Regular Meeting.
ACTION: Approved Minutes as emended.
Approval of the Consent Calendar
Item 3.2 was removed from the Consent Calendar and heard separately.
A motion was made by committee Member skorpanich, seconded by committee
Member Farfan, to approve the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by the following
vote:
Ayes: McDermott, Fox, Skorpanich, and FarfanNoes: None

3.2.Design Review No. 5074-22, Bluestone Lane Sign, 1 14 N. Olive Street
Note: ltem 3.2 was removed from the Consent Calendar for separate consideration by
Vice Chair McDermott.
The Committee members discussed the following:
. Penetrations anto corrugated metal storefront
. Historic period of the metal panels
A motion was made by Committee Member Skorpanich, seconded by Committee
Member Fox, to approve Design Review No. 5074-22, Bluestone Lane Sign, 114 N.
Olive Street, based on the findings and conditions in the staff report.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Aves: McDermott, Fox, Skorpanich, and FarfanNoes: None
Absent: lmboden

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
The next Regular Design Review committee meeting will be held on wednesday, June
1, 2022 al5:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber.
