The Planning Gornmission of the City of Orange, California convened on February 23, 2022,
�t 7:00 p.m. in a Regular Meeting in the Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, C�range,
California.

Chair Simpson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Chair Simpson led the flag salute.
1.2 ROLL CALL
Present: Simpson, Giasqow, Martinez, and Trapesonian

3. CONSENT CALEIVDAR �
All matters listed under the Consenfi Calendar are considered to be routine by the
Planr�ing Commission and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate
discussion of said items unless members of the Planning Commission, staff or the
public request specific items removed from the Consent Calendar for separate action.
3.1. p►pproval of rraeeting rrr�inutes of the Planning Corr�mission of the City of Orange
for the January 3, 2022 Regular Meeting.
ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Glasgow, seconded by Commissioner
Trapesonian to approve the January 3, 2022 meeting minutes.
The rr�otion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Simpson, Glasqow, Martinez, and Trapesonian
Noes: None
Absent: Vazquez

Anna Pehoushek, Assistant Community Development Director, announced that the
Housing Element had been adopted by the City Council.

5. COMMISSION BUSINESS
5.1. Selection of Planning Commission Officers
A motion was made by Commissioner Glasgow, seconded by Commissioner Martinez
to continue item 5.1 to the March 7, 2022 Planning Commission meeting to allow
participation by the full Commission.
The motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Simpson, Glasqow, Martinez, and Trapesonian
Noes: None
Absent: Vazquez
5.2. General Plan Annual Progress Report to the State of California
Senior Planner, Chad Ortlieb gave a presentation on the General Plan Annual
Progress Report.
The Commissioners had questions about the following:
• Status of open Code Enforcement cases
. Historic standards for Eichler tracts
. Affordable housing numbers compared to other cities
2021 General Plan Annual Progress was received and filed.
6. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
The next Regular Planning Commission Meeting will be held on Monday, March 7,
2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber.
