NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WALLS AND FENCES DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a Public Hearing
at a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter
may be heard, in the Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, to consider the following
request:
SUBJECT: An ordinance amending Title 17 (Zoning Code) of the Orange Municipal Code to update
and establish new development standards for walls and fences throughout all zoning districts.
PROPERTY LOCATION: Citywide
REQUEST: A proposal to update Title 17 of the Orange Municipal Code, to modify development
standards allowing taller wall and fence heights, clarify allowed materials, and allow methods of review
for wall and fence heights that exceed allowed heights in consideration of nearby land uses, topography,
and local noise levels.
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: The project is categorically exempt from the provisions of
the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines Section 15305 (Class 5-
Minor Alterations to Land Use Limitations).
