NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICING AND POSTING REQUIREMENTS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a Public Hearing
at a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter
may be heard, in the Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, to consider the following
request:
SUBJECT: An ordinance amending Title 17 (Zoning Code) of the Orange Municipal Code to update
noticing and posting requirements.
PROPERTY LOCATION: Citywide
REQUEST: Staff has completed a comprehensive update to the Orange Municipal Code Chapter 17.08
General Administrative Procedures, which provides a Table of procedures, permits, and hearing and a
Yes or No requiring the mailing of notices, and if the type of land use application requires publishing in
the local newspaper, posting a notice on the project site or both.
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: In the unlikely event adoption of the Ordinance would
constitute a project under CEQA, it is categorically exempt from the provisions of CEQA per CEQA
Guideline 15321(a) (Class 21, Enforcement Actions by Regulatory Agencies) because said adoption is
an action taken by the City as a regulatory agency and involves “enforcement of a law, genera l rule,
standard, or objective, administered or adopted by the regulatory agency.”
