NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
REDISTRICTING OF CITY COUNCIL ELECTION DISTRICT BOUNDARIES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will conduct a public
hearing per Elections Code Section 21607.1, at an Adjourned Regular meeting on Wednesday, October
13, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., with the public hearing being held at 7:00 p.m. or as reasonably practical
thereafter, at Orange City Hall in the City Council Chamber located at 300 East Chapman Avenue,
Orange, CA 92866, to receive input from the community regarding the redrawing of City Council
election district boundaries based on 2020 Census data, and receive a report on the redistricting process
and permissible criteria to be considered to evaluate City Council election district boundaries.
All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and express their views and comments relating
to this matter. Written comments may be filed with the City Clerk by emailing
ccpubliccomment@cityoforange.org or by mailing correspondence to 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange
CA 92866.
Please contact the City Manager’s Office at (714) 744-2222 if live translation in an applicable language
is needed for this hearing or if a reasonable accommodation in accordan ce with the American with
Disabilities Act is needed. Notification 72 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make
reasonable arrangements.
If you challenge this action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else
raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City
