I.CALL TO ORDER
a.The meeting was called to order at 6:35 P.M.
II.APPROVAL OF MINUTES – February 13, 2019 Meeting
a.Committee Member Perez moved, seconded by Committee Member Mickelson-
Weilmuenster, to approve the February 13, 2019, Minutes as presented.
b.Motion carried, 5-0.
III.INTRODUCTION OF SUZAN EHDAIE, HOUSING ANALYST
Bill Crouch introduced, Suzan Ehdaie, the new Housing Analyst staff to the
Committee.
IV.DISCUSSION OF FORM 700 REPORTING
This item was discussed after agenda item # VI.
V.PUBLIC HEARING – RECOMMEDATION OF THE FY 2019-20 DRAFT
FUDNING RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CITY COUNCIL
Suzan Ehdaie presented the FY 2019-20 CDBG draft funding recommendations to the
committee. Committee Member Rico asked what happens when the City receives
higher or lower actual CDGB amounts since this is an estimated draft funding
recommendations. Staff responded that the draft funding recommendations will be
adjusted proportionately. Mr. Crouch noted that staff will review the allocation
process and provide guidelines in the next 12 months. Committee Member Gillanders
asked why the funding allocation increased from what was requested for the Senior
Center project. Staff explained that the Senior Center project is subject to the Davis-
Bacon Act and the prevailing wage requirement will most likely increase the cost of
this project.
a.Committee Member Mickelson-Weilmuenster moved, seconded by Committee
Member Rico, to recommend the FY 2019-20 CDBG draft funding
recommendations to the City Council.
b.Motion carried, 5-0.
VI.PUBLIC COMMENTS
Ms. Patty Waastal from Assistance League attended the meeting and thanked the
Committee for the increase in the allocation of CDBG funds for the Operation School Bell
program.
IV. DISCUSSION OF FORM 700 REPORTING
Bill Crouch reminded the committee members to turn in the completed 700 Form to the
City Clerk office.
VII.ADJOURNMENT
Committee Member Mickelson-Weilmuenster moved, seconded by Committee Member Perez, to
adjourn meeting.
