NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 94-1
As you know, you are in a Landscape Maintenance District formed in 1994 to maintain the extra ordinary
landscape in your development known as Sycamore Crossing. Your district was formed using the
Landscape and Lighting Act of 1972, Street and Highways Code, commencing with Section 22500.
The City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon
thereafter as may be heard, in the City of Orange Council Chamber, 300 East Chapman Avenue, Orange,
California, and various teleconference locations. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive and
consider public testimony regarding the maintenance of the landscape improvements and the p roposed
assessment.
The 1972 Act provides that the total cost of maintaining the landscaping including labor, materials,
water, electricity, administration and incidental expenses can be spread among the benefiting parcels
annually. The assessment rates are proposed to remain the same as last fiscal year and not to be
increased. The current annual assessment rates are: Interior Units - $293.08, Units along the channel -
$298.94, Senior Housing - $597.88.

Any person who believes the cost or quality of the work to be performed by the District, or the proposed
assessment spread or rates are incorrectly calculated, may file a written protest with the City Clerk at the
address given above, at or before the time set for the hearing. Each protest must contain a description
of the property in which the person is interested, sufficient to identify the property, and shall state all
grounds of objection.
