NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FISCAL YEAR 2021-22 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS (HOME) PROGRAMS
AND THE AMENDED CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a public hearing,
Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at the City of
Orange Council Chamber, 300 East Chapman Avenue, and various teleconference locations, to review
and approve the CDBG and HOME draft funding recommendations for Fiscal Year 2021-2022.
The City of Orange receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and HOME
Investment Partnerships (HOME) funds annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD). The City received the following amounts for Fiscal Year 2021-22:
1. CDBG - $1,146,270
2. HOME - $457,125
30-Day Public Review of the Citizen Participation Plan
The Citizen Participation Plan outlines specific procedures to engage the public and gather public input
when preparing the Consolidated Plan and the Action Plan. The amendments to the Citizen Participation
Plan include housekeeping items as well as clarifying the steps involved for amending the Consolidated
Plan and the Action Plan. The amended Citizen Participation Plan will be available at the following
locations from April 9, 2021 to May 9, 2021 for a 30-day public review process:

Public Library (Main Library) - 407 East Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA 92866

All interested persons may submit comments and may be heard on any relevant matter relating to the
proposed actions by mail, email, voicemail or in -person, as set forth in the May 11, 2021, City Council
agenda to be posted on the City’s website www.cityoforange.org.
