NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
REVISIONS TO THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE ALLOWING AND
REGULATING SHORT TERM RENTAL BUSINESSES AND ADOPTING A
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR SHORT TERM RENTAL
BUSINESS PERMITS AND FINES FOR VIOLATIONS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a public hearing,
Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, via various
teleconference locations, to consider the following: (1) adoption of an Ordinance defining and adding
short term rentals to those businesses subject to transient occupancy tax, establishing regulations
pertaining to the issuance of permits and conduct of operations of short term rentals, and adding short
term rentals as a permitted use in residential zones; and (2) adoption of a Resolution establishing a permit
fee for short term rental permits and a schedule of fines for violations.
All interested persons may submit comments and be heard on any relevant matter relating to the proposed
Ordinance or Resolution by mail, email, voicemail or in-person as set forth in the April 13, 2021, City
Council agenda.
