RES-9533 Loyal Service Appreciation for Joan WolffRESOLUTION NO. 9533 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO JOAN WOLFF OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FOR MORE THAN FIFTEEN YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE. WHEREAS, Joan Wolff began her career with the City of Orange on September 2,1986; Joan, hiring on as a Planner Assistant I, immediately began her climb up the career ladder working as an Assistant Planner, Associate Planner, Senior Project Planner and ultimately a Principal Planner. During her career in Orange, Joan has been project manager to many successful residential development projects including Crawford Hills, Pulte Homes in Santiago Hills and Hidden Creek. She was also coordinator of annexations to the City and the City representative on several countywide planning organizations. Joan has successfully dealt with issues and projects ranging from the Zoning Ordinance Update, updating the City's CEQA Guidelines, and Environmental Coordinator. She will be leaving the City with an updated Housing Element and a forward path for implementation of the Trails and Bikeways Master Plan and Master Plan of Recreational Trails. One of her most unusual and unique tasks with the City was videotaping potbelly pigs, miniature horses and pygmy goats on residential property. After years of planning under Joan's leadership and technical expertise, the R.J. Noble site is still a "Pit". Although Joan, in recent years, has only been part-time, her accomplishments show a full-time commitment and she is well known for her ability to conduct public meetings with appreciation for the views and recommendations of the community.Joan's cahn nature, professionalism, and attention to detail have contributed greatly to the productivity of the Community Development Department over the past fifteen years.Joan will now dedicate her time and energy to her family.
