He will support and actively participate in the operation ofthelibrary. He feels there are tough decision to be made regarding personnel and budget cutsandhewi11berespondingtothoseneedsastheyarise. Gary was introduced to staff at areceptiononJu]y 7. He asked for input and communication from the Library Board andFriendsoftheOrangePublicLibrary

A. Friendly Stop Update
Gary told Trustees that there aze decision that need to be made about operatingtheFriendlyStopwithinproperboundaries,tightec supervision of funds, andfutureplansfortheproject. It is being suggested that Friendly Stop become a
non-profit organization because the continuation of the Frien

program will cause more cuts to other library programmin8•to pay a Friendly Stop Supervisor's salary but the City will need to budget $11,000formaintenanceandoperations, which Mua will look into securing these funds

Trustee Way moved that the Trustees donate $50 for a book in ivlr. Courtney'snametotheLibrary. Seconded by Trustee Brandman. Motion carried.
