A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ORANGE CONSENTING TO AND CALLING FOR A JOINT
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED AMENDED AND
RESTATED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE ORANGE
MERGED AND AMENDED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
AREA
WHEREAS, the Orange Redevelopment Agency ("Agency") has undertaken steps to
amend and merge the Redevelopment Plans for the Tustin Street Original, Tustin Street
Amendment No.1, Southwest Original, Southwest Amendment No.1, Southwest Amendment
No.2, Southwest Amendment No.3, and Northwest Redevelopment Projects ("Orange Merged
and Amended Redevelopment Project Area"); and
WHEREAS, the Agency is required to complete the actions prescribed by Sections
33354.6 and 33485 through 33489 of the California Community Redevelopment Law, Health
and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq. ("CRL"); and
WHEREAS, the Agency has prepared a Draft Amended and Restated Redevelopment
Plan for the Merged and Amended Redevelopment Project Area and related Negative
Declaration pursuant to the requirements of the CRL and the California Enviromnental Quality
Act; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 33348 and 33360 of the CRL, ajoint public hearing on
the proposed Amended and Restated Redevelopment Plan for the Orange Merged and Amended
Redevelopment Project Area may be held with the consent of the City Council of the City of
Orange and Orange Redevelopment Agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Orange does hereby resolve as
follows:
Section 1. A joint public hearing of the City Council of the City of Orange and the
Orange Redevelopment Agency is hereby consented to and called for. The hearing is to be held
in the City Council Chambers to act upon the proposed Amended and Restated Redevelopment
Plan for the Orange Merged and Amended Redevelopment Project Area, related Negative
Declaration, and all documents and evidence pertaining thereto. The date and time of such joint
public hearing shall be November 13, 2001, at 7:00 p.m. or soon thereafter as the matter may be
heard.
