RES-9485 Requesting Allocation for Combined Transportation Program FundsRESOLUTION NO. 9485 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY TO ALLOCATE COMBINED TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDS FOR ACQUISITION OF RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE CHAPMAN AVENUE WIDENING, PROJECT NO. 97-0RNG-MPAH-1123 BETWEEN ROUTE 57 FREEWAY AND 400-FEET WEST OF MAIN STREET.WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority approved a Combined Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for fiscal year 1999/00; and WHEREAS, the CTFP includes $791,457 in fiscal year 2000/01 for the acquisition of right-of-way for the widening of Chapman Avenue from Route 57 Freeway to 400 feet west of Main Street; and WHEREAS, the City of Orange has adopted a General Plan Circulation Element which does not preclude implementation of the MP AH within its jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, the City of Orange has ( I) prepared all right-of-way documents, and 2) designed the project improvements, and (3) completed required preparatory work in accordance with the standards required by the City and other affected jurisdictions involved with said project; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:1, That the City of Orange hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority to allocate $657,266,00 of CTFP funds from the Master Plan of Arterial Highways Program for right-of- way acquisition for said project to the City, This request is in conformance with the CTFP allocation process and does not exceed ninety percent 90%) of the programmed amount or ninety percent ( 90%) of the right-of-way expenditures incurred as ofJune 30, 2001.2, That the City of Orange agrees to fund its share of the right-of-way costs of the above indicated Street Widening Project and any additional costs over the identified programmed amount.3, The City of Orange agrees to submit a Final Report to the Orange County Transportation Authority within one hundred twenty (120) days after the City's finalization of right-of-way acquisition, at which time the approved expenditures as determined from the items of work eligible for reimbursement under the CTFP guidelines to the City of Orange, ADOPTED this lOth day of July, 2001.
