A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL
OF AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDING THROUGH
THE BICYCLE TRANSPORTATION ACCOUNT
BTA) PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY
CALTRANS.
WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires to submit a Bicycle Transportation Account
application to the Caltrans Bicycle Facilities Unit (BFU) for the Santiago Creek Bike Trail in the
amount of $360,000,00; and
WHEREAS, certification of available matching funds in the amount of $36,000 (10% of
the requested grant) is required in the form of a Resolution to accompany the Bicycle
Transportation Account application; and
WHEREAS, this City of Orange has dedicated funding for the Santiago Creek Bike Trail
through the Special Gas Tax to provide the 10% match ($36,000); and
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the City Council of the City of Orange
authorizes the submittal of a Bicycle Transportation Account grant application for the Santiago
Creek Bike Trail, and the City Council further authorizes the expenditure of City funds in the
amount of $36,000 as the required 10% match in FY 2001102,
