A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE STATING ITS INTENT TO
VACATE A PORTION OF VISTA RIDGE DRIVE
LOCATED BETWEEN VISTA CREST ROAD AND
VISTA SUMMIT WAY, RESERVING AND
EXCEPTING FROM SUCH VACATION AN
EXISTING EASEMENT FOR WATER UTILITY
PURPOSES, AND VACATING ANY OTHER
UNDERLYING UTILITY EASEMENTS THEREIN,
SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON, AND
DIRECTING NOTICE THEREOF TO BE POSTED
AND PUBLISHED.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange declares its intent to vacate a
portion of Vista Ridge Drive located between Vista Crest Road and Vista Summit Way; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to reserve and except from such vacation an
existing underlying easement for water purposes and intends to vacate any other underlying
utility easements therein; and
WHEREAS, the vacation and abandonment of such streets is conducted pursuant to
Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 3 of the California Streets and Highways Code, Sections 8320~
seq.; and
WHEREAS, the portion to be vacated is specifically described in the attached legal
description and map, attached hereto and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, a hearing for all persons interested in the proposed vacation shall be
held on May 8, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Orange, 300 E.
Chapman Avenue, Orange, California.
NOW, THEREFORE the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish and post this
Resolution of intent in the manner required by law.
