RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE APPROVING SECOND AMENDED
AND RESTATED JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS
AGREEMENT CREATING THE FOOTHILL/
EASTERN TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR
AGENCY WHEREAS,
the City of Orange, on October 21, 1988, has entered into the Foothill/
Eastern Joint Powers Authority, (JPA), with the County of Orange and the Cities of Anaheim,
Irvine, Mission Viejo, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Tustin, and Y
orba Linda, and WHEREAS,
the TCA Boards of the San Joaquin and Foothill Eastern Transportation Corridor
Agencies have approved amendments to the JP A combining both corridor agencies,and
WHEREAS,
this amendment is permissive and only provides for consolidation if 75%
of member agencies approve and, the TCA Boards make the determination that consolidation
is fillaJncially feasible next year.NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange
approves Second Amended and Restated Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement creating
the Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency.BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the :\1ayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute this agreement.ADOPTED
