A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE CHANGING THE TITLE AND
DESCRIPTION OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 6456, (STREET LIGHTS:
CONVERSION TO CITY OWNED) TO
INSTALLATION OF SAFETY LIGHTING.
WHEREAS, the City Council annually approved Capital Improvement Projects as part
of the ClP, and
WHEREAS, Project No. 6456, Street Lights Conversion to City-Owned was
approved June 25, 2002,
and.WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority annually reviews all
City projects using Measure M Sales Tax revenues for consistency of expenditures with Measure
M
rules.WHEREAS, the aCTA Citizen's Oversight Committee has recommended that the
City of Orange clarify the title and description of Project No. 6456 to be consistent with Measure
M.NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Orange does resolve as
follows:That the title of Project No. 6456 (Street Lights: Conversion to City-
Owned) be changed to read Installation of
Safety Lighting.AND FURTHER RESOLVES that the street light project will install
roadway lighting on an as needed basis at locations throughout the City
of Orange.The installation of lighting systems will involve the undergrounding
of electrical service and will be City owned in lieu of contracted lighting services
from the Southern California Edison
Company (SCE).ADOPTED this lih day of
