A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO
SUSAN SECOY OF THE DESIGN REVIEW
COMMITTEE FOR HER FOUR YEARS OF
DEDICATED SERVICE.
WHEREAS, Susan Secoy was appointed by City Council to the Design Review Board
on July 14, 1998. She was a part of the restructuring of the Design Review Board, which in 1999
became the Design Review Committee. She served as chairperson of the Design Review
Committee from July 1999 to May 200!.
During her four years on the committee, Susan has provided valuable input with the
designs of significant projects throughout the City including the new Orange Main Library, St.
John's Lutheran Church School expansion, Veteran's Memorial Fountain and Millennium Clock,
Extended Stay America Hotel, and Sisters of St. Joseph Residential Care Facility.
She was well qualified to serve on the committee. Not only did she receive her Bachelor
of Architecture degree from Kent State University but also received a Master of
ArchitecturelDesign from UCLA. She is currently a principal architect with Secoy Architects in
the City of Orange.
Susan's knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail have contributed greatly to the
Design Review Committee. She was especially aware of the sensitive issues involving the Old
Towne District.
Even though she will no longer be serving on the Design Review Committee, Susan will
continue to be involved in the issues and concerns of the City of Orange.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange
that Susan Secoy be congratulated for four years of dedicated service to the Design Review
Committee, the Community Development Department and the City of Orange.
