A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE APPROVING AND ADOPTING
THE FINAL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS
ENTERPRISE (DBE) PROGRAM AND
ESTABLISHED OVERALL ANNUAL DBE GOAL OF
10% FOR FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR 2002/2003.
WHEREAS, The City of Orange is required to develop and submit a
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DB E) Program and Overall Annual Goal for DBE
participation for DOT -assisted contracts, as a condition of federal financial assistance,
pursu:mt to Title 49 CFR Part 26; Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in
Depmtment of Transportation Programs; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with new DBE regulations, the City of Orange has
developed a narrowly tailored Final Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program
and Final Overall Annual DBE Goal for Federal Fiscal Year 2002-03;
and WHEREAS, adoption by the City Council is required to ensure compliance
with Depmiment of TrarJsportation federal funding requirements, provisions and
financial
responsibilities;NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Orange that the Final Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program and Overall
Annual Goal for Federal Fiscal Year 2002-03 are
hereby approved.BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
are hereby authorized to execute the adoption of the Final Disadvantaged
Business Enterprise Program and Established Overall Annual Goal for Federal Fiscal Year
2002-03, and submission to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), on
behalf of the City of Orange, for
funding authority approval.ADOPTED this 13th day
