Chairman Yarger opened the public hearing for the following discussion.
Ro� Hamada — 1730 N. Batavia St. — Opposed to the request. We have a nursery
business on the corner of Taft and Batavia. There is currently a bus stop that is located
40 ft. east of where they want a red zone. My concern is that busses coming in and out
of this location, this area is not long enough to accommodate #he busses without
hanging over into one of the driveways or my neighbor's driveway on either side. My
primary concern is parking and my secondary concern is space.
Steve Cello�4CTA—550 S. Main St. — In favor of request. We hope to run a bus south
on Batavia and westerly on Taft will occur in the December service change. The other
, reason to move the stop westerly is to get the rear end of the bus clear of the turning
movements of traffic making a right turn from southbound Batavia St. This bus stop is
neither a lay-over or time check location and busses will only stop here when they have
passengers to load or un{oad. .
- Chairman Yarger closed the public hearing and retumed the request to the Commission
for further discussion and a motion.
ACTION: Continue to O�tober 10�' meeting and look into the sight distance issue
and a possible compromise.

VI.ADJOURNMENT
After discussion of today's Agenda items of the City Traffic Commission was concluded, and
as there were no further requests for action under Orat Presentations, the Chairman
adjourned this session of the City Traffic Commission at 5:25 p.m. �
The next regular meeting of the City Traffic Commission is scheduled for Wednesday —
October 10, 2001.
