A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE CONCERNING APPROVING THE
SUBMITTAL OF TRANSPRTATION IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER
ARTERIAL HIGHWAY REHABILITATION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires to implement the transportation
improvements listed below; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange has declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M
turnback" funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's cireulation Element is eonsistent with the County of
Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will provide matching funds for each project as
required by the Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Program Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to alloeate funds
for rehabilitation projects within the incorporated cities and the County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will use Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Program
Funding as a supplement to their existing pavement management program; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The City Council of the City of Orange hereby requests the Orange County
Transportation Authority allocate funds in the amounts speeified in the City's application to
said City from the Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Program. Said funds shall be matched
by funds from said City as required and shall be used as supplemental funding to aid the
City in the street improvements listed on Exhibit A, attached hereto.
