She told Trustee VanVoorst to get in contact with FOPL Liaison Linda Cundiff regarding using these volunteers. IV. OLD BUSINESS 4.1 Homework Assignment on Gift Registry’s Chair Collins contacted both Target and Barnes & Noble to inquire about starting a gift registry for the library. The library would provide both stores with a “wish list” of items which are then scanned into their system. Discussion continued about each of these gift registries and others. Trustees and library staff were in agreement that a collaboration with Target and Barnes & Noble would be beneficial to the library. Ms. Moreno will present these ideas to the City Manager and if he approves the Library Board will then move forward. 4.2 Library Board of Trustees – Fact Finding on Role of Trustees – updated spreadsheet from Trustee Trustee Freeman continues to update the spreadsheet with all the fact-finding info and will email it to Ms. Reichert when it’s complete. The goal is to incorporate both ideas into one design that will fit the library and prospective donor needs as set forth in the guidelines for the Children’s Garden. Ms. Moreno pointed out the different features of each plan. This continues to be a work in progress. Both plans are currently with the Staff Review Committee (SRC). The SRC will make comments, note any concerns and/or recommendations. Once the comments are received they will be presented to the OPLF. Both groups will respond to comments and recommendations. A meeting had been scheduled between the two groups for next Tuesday but will probably be rescheduled to give ample time for both groups to review the comments from SRC before meeting. V.
