A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO W ALTER B. TRACY OF THE CITY OF
ORANGE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND COMMEND
HIM FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF LOYAL
AND DEDICATED
SERVICE.WHEREAS, Walter B. Tracy began his career with the City of Orange
Fire Department on October 7, 1974 and worked as both a Firefighter and a Fire
Engineer;
and WHEREAS, Walt Tracy was known for many things around the
Fire Department, always the communicator, developed, built and installed an
information syst,em for each fire station and for this effort he became the recipient of the Rotary
Club Award of Merit;
and WHEREAS, Walt, a very outgoing man, was always interested in being a
role model and working with the youths, so for many years he was an R.O.P. instructor
and continues to teach in his retirement. He was also always the first to volunteer to work
at Career Fairs in the local
schools.NOW THEREFORE, BE [1' RESOLVED, I, Mark A. Murphy, Mayor of
the City of Orange, on behalf of the entire City Council, recognize and congratulate
Walter B. Tracy for his twenty-five years ofloyal and dedicated service to the City
of Orange and that the City Council on behalf of all the citizens of Orange wish Walt and
his wife Jo-Anne a long, happy,
and healthy retirement.ADOPTED
