A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO PETE B. FIELIS OF THE CITY OF ORANGE
FIRE DEPARTMENT AND COMMEND HIM FOR
MORE THAN THIRTY-FIVE YEARS OF
LOYAL AND DEDICATED
SERVICE.WHEREAS, upon his discharge from the Air Force, Pete Fielis began his
career with the City of Orange Fire Department on June 16, 1963. Pete worked as a
fireman from 1963 until January 1974 when he was promoted to Fire Engineer;
and WHEREAS, Pete was a steady, dependable Fire Engineer. He was well liked
by everyone and was someone who always did his work without a complaint. Pete'
s supervisors described him as solid... the cornerstone of their team;
and WHEREAS, Pete, a long-time resident of Orange loves riding his bike.
You can usually see Pete bicycling in the area on a nice
day; and WHEREAS, Pete will be missed by everyone at the Orange
Fire Department.NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, I, Mark A. Murphy, Mayor
of the City of Orange, on behalf of the entire City Council., recognize and congratulate
Peter B.Fielis for his thirty-five years of loyal and dedicated service to the City
of Orange and that the City Council on behalf of all the citizens of Orange wish Pete and
his wife Ruth,a long, happy,
and healthy retirement.ADOPTED
