A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE ASSIGNING "EAST VILLAGE
WAY" AS THE STREET NAME FOR THE PRIVATE
STREET OFF TUSTIN STREET AT THE ENTRY TO
THE VILLAGE AT ORANGE SHOPPING CENTER.
WHEREAS, Section 12.40,050 of the Orange Municipal Code states that the City
Council shall have full control over the naming of streets within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has established written policies and procedures whereby
street name change requests are considered, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said policies and procedures, City staff considered a request by
property owners to assign "East Village Way" as the street name; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the request and finds that it
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Orange does resolve as follows:
Section !:
East Village Way" as the street name for the portion of the private street off Tustin St.
into the shopping center.
Section II:
The City Clerk is directed to forward a copy of the executed Resolution to the Orange
County Board of Supervisors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Director is hereby directed to
implement this approval in the manner established by the adopted Policies and Procedures for
Street Name Change Requests.
ADOPTED this 12th day of November, 2003.
