A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE TO RESERVE 13 ON-
STREET PARKING SPACES IN THE DOWNTOWN
PLAZA FOR A SPECIAL
EVENT.WHEREAS, Vehicle Code Section 22507 authorizes cities to temporarily
restrict parking on streets upon which preferential parking privileges are given to
residents,merchanlls and organizations adjacent to such parking,
and WHEREAS, Great Autos Car Club has requested a temporary Encroachment
Permit to provide preferential parking to accommodate a special event within the Old
Towne
District.NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Orange does resolve
as
follows:Section
J[:That parking be provided for 13 vintage automobiles within the southeast quadrant
of the Plaza. on Thursday - October 23,2003.
Section H:
Great Autos Car Club shall notify area businesses of the event and temporary parking
restrictions in accordance with the Business & Public Affairs Manager's directions.
