A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE APPROVING THE ISSUANCE
BY THE ORANGE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF ITS ORANGE MERGED AND AMENDED
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT 2003 TAX
ALLOCATION REFUNDING BONDS
WHEREAS, the Orange Redevelopment Agency (the Agency) is authorized
pursuant to Part 1 of Division 24 of the California Health and Safety Code (commencing with
Section 33000) (the Act) to issue bonds for any of its corporate purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Agency, in order to provide for the financing and refinancing of
a portion of the Orange Merged and Amended Redevelopment Project Area (the Merged
Project), has indicated its intention to issue up to $65,000,000 principal amount of 2003 Tax
Allocation Refunding Bonds, in two series designated as 2003 Tax Allocation Refunding Bonds,
Series A and as 2003 Taxable Tax allocation Refunding Bonds, Series B, the proceeds of which
will be used to finance and refinance outstanding bonds of the Merged Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF ORANGE DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Approval of Financing. This City Council hereby approves the financing of a
portion of the Merged Project, which constitutes a redevelopment activity as such term is defined
in the Act, by means of the issuance of up to $65,000,000 of Orange Merged and Amended
Redevelopment Project Area 2003 Tax Allocation Refunding Bonds in two separate series.
Section 2. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
