A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE CONCERNING THE PURPOSE
OF OBTAINING FEDERAL FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE UNDER THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING (OCJP)
JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE
BLOCK GRANT (JAIBG) PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires to undertake certain projects designated to
be funded in part from funds made available through the Juvenile Accountability Incentive
Accountability Program administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter
referred to as OCJP).
IOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The City Manager of the City of Orange is authorized, on the City's behalfto
submit proposals to OCJP and to sign and approve on behalf of the City of Orange, any
documents necessary to process such proposals.
2. The City agrees to provide all matching funds required for said projects
including any amendment thereof) under the OCJP and the funding terms and conditions of
OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as required.
3. Any liability arising out of the performance of any Grant Award Agreement,
including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the City of Orange.
The State of California and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability.
4. Grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures
controlled by the City.
