RES-9760 Loyal Service Appreciation For Ken RomeroRESOLUTION NO. 9760 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO KEN ROMERO OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR HIS EIGHT YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE. WHEREAS, Ken Romero has served as a Planning Commissioner for eight years during which time he has gained the respect of fellow Commissioners, staff and the citizens of Orange; During his eight years, Ken has been an important member of the Planning Commission. He significantly contributed to the successful planning of some of the most complex planning projects in the City's history, such as the development in East Orange including Santiago Hills II, the Town & Country Shopping Center, Chapman University, Fieldstone projects and The Block at Orange. Ken's calm nature, professionalism, integrity and knowledge have contributed greatly to the Planning Commission. He always brought a unique and valuable perspective to each decision, and was always keenly aware of the financial aspects of each project. Ken always acted in the best interest of the City. He not only was aware of the East Orange issues, but he was equally sensitive to Old Towne concerns. Ken will be remembered for his professional attire, infectious smile and his loyal and devoted service to the City of Orange. Ken has lived in the City of Orange for eighteen years and even though he will no longer be serving on the Planning Commission, we are sure he will continue to be involved in the issues and concerns ofthe City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange that Ken Romero be congratulated for eight years of dedicated service to the Planning Commission, the Community Development Department and the City of Orange.
