A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO STUART W. STARK OF THE PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT, WATER DIVISION, AND
COMMENDING HIM FOR OYER TWENTY-
SEVEN YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED
SERVICE.WHEREAS, in 1974, Stuart W. Stark was hired as an Engineering Technician
I in the City's Public Works Department Trailic Division and was subsequently
promoted to the positions of Junior Civil Engineer, Plan Check Engineer, Assistant Civil
Engineer and Associate Civil Engineer;
and WHEREAS, during his career he very capably perfonned his job at
varIOus assignments within the Public Works Department, including the Trailic
Division.Subdivision, Engineering Design and the Water Division;
and WHEREAS, during the 1980's, Stu left employment with the City to work in
the private sector for a short period of approximately two years but retumed to his
old position when the opportunity presented itself;
and WHEREAS, since 1997, Stu has been assigned to the Water Division of
the Public Works Department, preparing a hydraulic network model of the City's
water system, designing wells and pump stations, and preparing plans for pipelines which
has helped to assure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of this community;
and WHEREAS. Stu has announced his decision to retire from service with the
City of Orange as of .July II, 2003. His contributions during his long career with the City
have been significant and deserve special recognition and
commendation.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City
of Orange. expresses sincere appreciation and congratulations to Stuart W. Stark ,
md commends him lor his more than 27 years of loyal and dedicated service to the City
of Orange, and on behalf of the citizens of Orange, wishes Stu a most happy and
fulfilling
