PROJECT LOCATION: 225 W. Maple Avenue
PROJECT
DESCRIPTION:
The project includes demolition and removal of the existing asphalt on the
project site, construction of a new water well (Well 28), with a pumping
station, utility building, SCE transformer, and a passive mini-park on the 0.36
acre project site. Access to the proposed well area would be provided via a 20-
foot wide driveway from Maple Avenue, and access to the mini-park would be
provided by new paths from Lemon Street and Maple Avenue.
The proposed well facilities would be located in the northeast corner of the
project site within a 3,900 square foot area that is surrounded by a 16-foot high
brick veneer and clinging vine-clad architectural screen wall that will provide
security and screen the well facilities from off-site views. The southwestern
portion of the project site would be developed with an 11,780 square foot
passive mini-park.

INFORMATION:
Mitigated Negative Declaration No. 1861-18 was prepared to evaluate the
potential environmental impacts of the proposed project in accordance with the
provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act. The City invites you
to comment on the Mitigated Negative Declaration. The public review period
begins on October 29, 2020 and ends on November 29, 2020. Written
comments must be received in the offices of the City of Orange Planning
Division at 300 East Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA 92866, or via email at
cortlieb@cityoforange.org, by 5:30 P.M. on November 29, 2020.
Copies of the Mitigated Negative Declaration are available for public review
at the following locations:
