A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE CONSENTING TO THE
DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF
GLASS ELL STREET AND BRIDGE WITHIN THE
CITY OF ORANGE AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY FOR
THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION
IMPROVEMENTS.
LOCATION: GLASSELL STREET AND BRIDGE
BRIDGE NO. 55C0069) FROM RIVERDALE
AVENUE NORTHERLY, APPROXIMATELY 857
FEET, TO CITY/COUNTY BOUNDARY LIMITS.
WHEREAS, that portions of Glassell Street and Bridge from Riverdale Avenue
northerly, approximately 857 feet, and lying within City Limits of Orange is deemed to be
a highway of County-wide importance;
and WHEREAS, the County of Orange proposed to improve said portion of
Glassell Street and Bridge;
and WHEREAS, Agreement No. DOO-I04 elated August 28, 2001, requires
City of Orange, prior to award of the construction contract, to pass a resolution
declaring said portions of project within City of Orange limits to be a County highway during
the period of improvement by
County; and WHEREAS, the City of Orange concurs with said improvements by
County and desircs to consent to the establishment of said portions of Glassell Street and Bridge
as a County highway during the period of
said constmction.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED that
pursuant to the provisions of Section 1701, Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the
Streets and Highway Code the City of Orange declares that portion of Project within City
Limits of City of Orange to be a County highway during the period of improvement by
the County
of Orange.BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City Council
of the City of Orange be and is herby authorized and directed to transmit to the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange a certified copy of this Resolution and to
request a
reciprocal resolution.ADOPTED this 27th day of
