A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ORANG]~ ASSIGNING
UCI MEDICAL CENTER DRIVE" AS THE
STREET NAME FOR THE PUBLIC STREET
OFF THE CITY DRIVE SOUTH AT THE
ENTRY TO THE MEDICAL C:ENTER.
WHEREAS, Section 12.40.050 of the Orange Municipal Code states that the City
Council shall have full control over the naming of streets within the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has established \vritten policies and procedures whereby
street name change requests are considered, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said policies and procedures, City staff considered a request by
property owners to assign, DCI Medical Center Drive, as the street name; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the request and finds that it
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Orange does resolve as follows:
Section I:
UCI Medical Center Drive as the street name for the portion of the public street off The
City Drive South into the medical center complex.
Section II:
The City Clerk is directed to forward a copy of the executed Resolution to the Orange
County Board of Supervisors.
lIlE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public 'Works Director is hereby directed to
implem;:nt this approval in the manner established by the adopted Policies and Procedures for
Street Name Change Requests.
ADOPTED this 9th day of March, 2004.
