RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE DESIGNATING CERTAIN PORTIONS
OF CHAPMAN A VENUE WITIDN THE COUNTY
OF ORANGE AS A CITY OF ORANGE IDGHW
AY FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENTS
COUNTY
UNICORPORATED AREA: ESPLANADE TO EARLHAM
WHEREAS,
PORTIONS OF Chapman Avenue from Esplanade Street to Earlham
Street lie within the County of Orange and are in need of rehabilitation; and WHEREAS,
the City of Orange has finalized the plans and specifications for the rehabilitation
of Chapman A venue from Loretta Drive to Hewes Street and has agreed to cooperate
with the County of Orange and be the lead agency for including the rehabilitation
work within the County of Orange segment with its project; and WHEREAS,
the County of Orange concurs with said improvements by the City of
Orange and thereby consents to the establishments of said portion of Chapman Avenue that
is within the County of Orange, as a City of Orange roadway for purposes of construction
during the period of improvement by the City of Orange.NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED in furtherance of the mutual agreement
authorized by Sections 1710 and 1807 of the Street and Highways Code, all of that
portion of Chapman Avenue from Esplanade Street to Earlham Street is hereby dleclared
to be a City of Orange roadway for purposes of construction during the period of improvements
by the City of Orange.BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City Council of the City
of Orange be and is hereby authorized and directed to transmit to the Board of Supervisors
for the County of Orange a certified copy of this Resolution and to request a reciprocal
Resolution.BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
cause this Resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Orange County Recorder.ADOPTED
