an Adjourned Regular Meeting in the Council Chambers, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange,

Declaration of Deputy
City Clerk, Cassandra J. Cathcart, declaring posting of City Council agenda of an adjourned
regular meeting of August 15, 1995 at Orange Civic Center, Main Library, Police facility
at 1107 North Batavia and the Eisenhower Park Bulletin Board; all of said
locations being in the City of Orange and freely accessible to members of the public at
least 72 hours before commencement of said regular meeting.ACTION: Accepted Declaration of Agenda
Posting and authorized its retention as a public record in the Office

6.1 Discussion regarding the Katella Avenue Corridor Rezoning Project.
The Director of Community Development reported on the format of the meeting.
The Community Development Manager reviewed the boundaries of the Katella Avenue Corridor
Rezoning project, and reviewed the all-day charette which was attended by local architects
and landscape
architects.The Economic Development Director commented on land use opportunities and vision
analysis within the corridor area. A concept diagram was presented which depicted a sports facility
and other retail
uses.The Community Development Department Planner reviewed the proposed land uses
and development standards that support the vision. The process, schedule and next steps
were
discussed.Bob Bennyhoff, 10642 Morada, commented on the Orange County Board of Supervisor's
meeting today regarding the possibilities of using municipalities sales
tax.6.2 Joint bus tour with the Planning Commission to observe business signs on
Katella and Chapman
Avenues.The following Planning Commissioners were present: Randy Bosch, Bill Cathcart, Thresa
Smith,and Ben Pruett. Planning Commissioner Ken Romero was
absent.The bus tour left City Hall at approximately 5:00 p.m. and returned at 5:35 p.
