RESOLUTION NO. 10033
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO ROBERT P. STOLHAND OF THE PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR MORE THAN 32
YEARS OF LOYAL AND DEDICATED SERVICE.
WHEREAS, Bob Stolhand began his career with the City of Orange on November
26, 1973 as a Right-of-Way Representative in the Public Works Department, and on July 4,
1976 Bob was promoted to Real Property Specialist, and on May 18, 1980 Bob became
Real Property Representative; and
WHEREAS, Bob is a Charter Member and Past President of the International Right
of Way Association, where he has been a member for over 30 years. In July, 1980 Bob
became qualified as a Registered Senior Member, in recognition of his expertise in the
areas of negotiation, appraisal, law and engineering; and
WHEREAS, Bob has been a Notary Public registered with the National Notary
Association for 32 years; and
WHEREAS, Brother Bob is a 320 twenty-year member of the Free and Accepted
Masons of California; and
WHEREAS, Bob's expertise and professionalism in his field are widely recognized
by his peers and co-workers. In his 32 years of acquiring property for the City of Orange,
only two cases have required the use of eminent domain, the rest having been resolved
amicably; and
WHEREAS, Bob is also an avid golfer, although he rarely breaks 100. Bob has
participated in many games and tournaments with the former City of Orange Golf
Association known as COOGA, as well as at his vacation home in the desert.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, on behalf of the
citizens of the City of Orange, expresses appreciation to Bob for his 32 years of loyal and
dedicated service and wishes he and his wife Kathy "bon voyage" and a long, happy and
healthy retirement.
