RES-9934 Approving Submittal of Transportation Improvement Projects to OCTARESOLUTION NO. 9934
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF
TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO
THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED
TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Orange desires to implement the transportation improvements
listed below; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange has been declared by the Orange County Transportation
Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M tumback funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of Orange
Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, The City of Orange will provide matching funds for each project as
required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures
Manual; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate funds for
transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will not use Measure M funds to supplant Developer
Fees or other commitments; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will use Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Funding as a
supplement to their existing Pavement Management Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Orange
hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority to allocate foods in the amounts
specified in the City's application, to said City from the Combined Transportation Funding
Programs. The funds shall be matched by funds from said City as required and shall be used
as supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement of the following streets:
a) Batavia Street: Taft to Southern Pacific Rail Road
b) Bond Ave.: Prospect to 400'east of Little Lane
c) Briardale & Tustin Critical Intersection
d) Cambridge St.: SR 22 to La Veta
e) Cambridge St.: Collins to Adams
f) East Chapman Avenue Signal Coordination
g) Glassell St.: Collins to Katella
h) Glassell St.: Katella to Taft
i) Katella Ave.: Sacramento to Wanda
j) Katella Ave.: Santa Ana River to Struck
k) Lincoln Ave.: Berkeley to Glassell
1) Lincoln Ave.: Glassell to Orange Olive
m) Lincoln Ave.: Orange Olive to Palm
n) Lincoln Ave.: Pahn to Tustin
0) Main & Almond Critical Intersection
p) Main St.: Culver to 260' north of Palmyra
q) Meats Ave.: Cambridge to Nordic
r) Meats Ave.: Orange Olive to Cambridge
s) Prospect St.: Spring to Bond
t) Prospect St.: Chapman to Spring
u) Taft Ave.: Santa Ana River to Batavia
v) Tustin & Collins Critical Intersection
w) Tustin & Taft Critical Intersection

FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to
