CITY OF ORANGE CONSENTING TO THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE'S DESIGNATION OF
CERTAIN PORTIONS OF HEWES STREET
BETWEEN WALNUT AVENUE AND SPRING
STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF ORANGE AS
COUNTY OF ORANGE HIGHWAY FOR THE
PURPOSE OF MAKING CONSTRUCTION
IMPROVEMENTS.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE CONSENTING TO THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE'S DESIGNATION OF
CERTAIN PORTIONS OF HEWES STREET
BETWEEN WALNUT AVENUE AND SPRING
STREET WITHIN THE CITY OF ORANGE AS
COUNTY OF ORANGE HIGHWAY FOR THE
PURPOSE OF MAHING CONSTRUCTION
IMPROVEMENTS.
COUNTY UNICORPORATED AREA: HEWES
STREET FROM WALNUT AVENUE TO SPRING
STREET
WHEREAS, certain portions of Hewes Street from Walnut Avenue to Spring Street lie
within the City of Orange and are in need of rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange has finalized the plans and specifications for the
rehabilitation of Hewes Street from Walnut Avenue to Spring Street and has agreed to
cooperate with the City of Orange and be the lead agency for including the rehabilitation work
within the City of Orange segment with its project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange concurs with said improvements by the County of
Orange and thereby consents to the establishment of certain portions of Hewes Street that are
within the City of Orange as County of Orange highway for purposes of construction during
the period oF improvement by the County of Orange.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Orange hereby consents
to the County of Orange declaration, pursuant to Section 1700 of the Streets and Highways
Code, that certain portions of Hewes Street from Walnut Avenue to Spring Street that lie in the
City of Orange are hereby declared to be a County of Orange roadway for purposes of
construction during the period of improvements by the County of Orange.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City Council of the City of
Orange be and is hereby authorized and directed to transmit to the Board of Supervisors for the
County of Orange a certified copy of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to cause this Resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Orange County Recorder.
