A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING THE MASTER
SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES AS
AUTHORIZED BY ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE
CHAPTER 3.10 TO DELETE THE SEWER
CONNECTION FEE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 3.10 of the Orange Municipal Code, the City Council has
established and maintained a Master Schedule of Fees and Charges, consisting of fees and charges for
the use of City facilities and services provided by the City to persons using such facilities and services;
and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 3.10 the Master Schedule of Fees and Charges has
been periodically amended and revised by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department collects a Sewer Connection Fee pursuant to the fee
schedule entitled City of Orange Development Fees, in the amount of $75.00 per residential unit and
75.00 + $10.00 per water closet over 2 for non-residential units. Collectively herein, the
residential and non-residential fees shall be referred to as the Sewer Connection
Fee; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the Sewer Connection Fee and determined
the collection thereof is redundant to the Frontage Fee authorized by Section 13.56.020 of the Orange
Municipal Code and thus, should no longer be
collected; and WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the Master Schedule of
Fees and Charges should be amended to delete the Sewer
Connection Fee.NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Orange
as follows:1. The Master Schedule of Fees and Charges is hereby amended to delete
the Sewer Connection Fee, set forth in Attachment I to
this Resolution.2. The Sewer Connection Fee shall be ineffective as of the effective date
ofthis Resolution.ADOPTED this 10th day of
