A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO LINDA MORGAN OF THE FINANCE
DEPARTMENT AND COMMENDING HER FOR
MORE THAN SEVENTEEN YEARS OF DEDICATED
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF ORANGE.
WHEREAS, Linda began her career with the City in March of 1989 as an
Administrative Clerk I in the Community Development Department; and
WHEREAS, Linda also held the positions of Administrative Clerk II, Public Services
Clerk and Permit Technician in the Community Development Department; and
WHEREAS, Linda finally saw the light in January of 2002 and came to the Finance
Department as a Business Services Inspector in the General Revenue Division; and
WHEREAS, Linda has been an ambassador to the business community on behalf of the
City of Orange; and
WHEREAS, Linda has consistently demonstrated loyalty, excellent work ethics, and
dedication to the City of Orange; and
WHEREAS, Linda is a team player who sets a commendable example of team spirit and
cooperation; and
WHEREAS, Linda is known for her excellent working relationship with representatives
from many city, county and state departments, and for her willingness to go the extra mile to
bring proj ects to a successful conclusion; and
WHEREAS, Linda's extensive knowledge of Business License is unparalleled; and
WHEREAS, Linda's skillful ability to search out and bring businesses into consistent
compliance with the O.M.C. has contributed to the City's general revenue; and
WHEREAS, Linda is known for her meticulous attention to detail and her ability to
consistently deliver accurate, quality resu.lts; and
WHEREAS, Linda leads the way in setting an example of professional and courteous
Customer Service; and
WHEREAS, Linda is known for her positive attitude and her willingness to help others
wherever and whenever needed;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mark A. Murphy, Mayor of the City of Orange, on behalf of
the City Council commend Linda Morgan for her seventeen years of outstanding, dedicated and
loyal service to the City of Orange, and wish her God Speed. Linda will be greatly missed but
never forgotten by her City of Orange family.
