A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE DETERMINING THE
FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
STREETS AND ROADS CLASSIFIED BY THE
FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION.
WHEREAS, changes to the functional classification maps must be consistent with the
requirements of the Highway Functional Classification Concepts, Criteria and Procedures
Manual, published by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in March of 1989; and
WHEREAS, incorporated cities are responsible for initiating requests for changes to
the functional classification of all streets and roads under their jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, a resolution by the City Council of the City of Orange finding the
functional classification maps consistent with the requirements of the Highway Functional
Classification Concepts, Criteria and Procedures Manual is required to receive federal aid
under the Federal-Aid Highway Act (Title 23, U.S.
Code).NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Orange
that:1. The City Council concurs in and approves the functional classification of
certain streets and roads as shown on the set of maps attached
hereto.2. The City Council concurs in and approves the streets and roads as shown on
the set of maps attached hereto and as designated thereon as additions to
and deletions from the Highway Functional Classification Concepts, Criteria
and Procedures Manual, published by the Federal Highway
Administration FHW A) for the City of Orange, County of Orange, State of California,
subject to the concurrence of the California Department of Transportation and
approval of the Federal Highway
