A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO FRANK FRASZ OF THE CITY OF ORANGE
FIRE DEPARTMENT AND COMMENDING HIM
FOR THIRTY-TWO YEARS OF LOYAL
AND DEDICATED
SERVICE.WHEREAS, Frank Frasz began his career with the Orange Fire Department
at the age of 18 as a Cadet/Firefighter in the ROP program. He was eventually hired as
a permanent fireman on July 7, 1975,
and WHEREAS, Frank worked as a fireman until he was promoted to Fire
Engineer in 1985, Fire Captain in 1988, Battalion Chief in 1996 and he became the Division
Chief of Operations in 1997. He eventually chose to go back in the field and finished out
his career as a Battalion Chief in
suppression.WHEREAS, Frank was always one to keep busy, for many years he managed
the Station/Building maintenance, was on the Safety Committee and was the Apparatus
and Equipment Chairman responsible for coordinating and overseeing the
design,development and purchase of department vehicles and
apparatus.WHEREAS, over the years Frank became the department's technology
specialist where he supervised the implementation of 4D, Telestaff, MDC, mapping, A VL, GIS
and was the department representative for both the City's computer committee and
Metro Net's technical group. Frank was also instrumental in the implementation of many of
the County-wide communications systems and equipment. Frank has been
a tremendous asset to
the department.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Orange that Frank Frasz be recognized and congratulated for his loyal
and dedicated service to the citizens of Orange for thirty-two years and that the
City Council wishes Frank and his wife Wendy a long, happy
and healthy retirement.ADOPTED this 22nd day
