(or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard) SUBJECT: DESIGN REVIEW NO. 4890-16 AND MINOR SITE PLAN REVIEW NO. 0889-16 – ORANGE PACKING HOUSE PROPERTY 426 W. ALMOND AVENUE, ORANGE, CA LOCATION REQUEST: A proposal for site improvements at a historic packing house property, including demolition of an existing shed and construction of new parking spaces, landscaping, and accessibility improvements. ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines 15331 (Class 31 - Historical Resource Restoration/Rehabilitation). The project consists of demolition of a shed on a historic packing house site that has been so altered that it no longer conveys its original function or connection to the historic packing house operations. Proposed parking lot and building improvements are consistent with the character of the site and will not remove or damage historic materials. No public review is required.
