A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
10589 RELATING TO COMPENSATION, AND
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT OF EXECUTIVE
DIRECTORS AND TOP MANAGEMENT
EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, in adopting Resolution No. 10589, the City Council modified the
contributions that executive directors and top management personnel covered by Resolution
No. 10589 would make to the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS); and
WHEREAS, the contributions from elected officials to PERS have historically
mirrored those paid by such executive directors and top management personnel; and
WHEREAS, formal action is necessary in order for elected officials' contribution to
PERS to mirror that of the executive directors and top management personnel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Orange amends Resolution No. 10589 as set forth herein.
SECTION 1. Subsection 22.A.7 shall be added to Resolution No. 10589 to read as
follows:
7) Elected Officials Contribution. For the time period in which any City Council
Members, the City Treasurer or the City Clerk are members of PERS, the City's and such
officials' contributions to PERS shall be the same as and controlled by subsections of A.1,
A.2, and A.4 of this Section 22."
SECTION 2. Except as specifically amended herein, Resolution No. 10589 shall
remain in full force and effect.
