A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE APPROVING THE
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
THE CITY OF ORANGE AND THE ORANGE CITY
FIRE FIGHTERS, INC. LOCAL 2384 OF THE
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE
FIGHTERS, AFL -CIO CONCERNING WAGES,
HOURS, AND OTHER CONDITIONS OF
EMPLOYMENT FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2011
THROUGH AND INCLUDING JUNE 30, 2012 AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 10324 AND
AMENDMENTS THERETO FOR SAID EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, the City of Orange (hereafter "CITY ") and the Orange City Fire Fighters,
Inc. Local 2384 (hereafter "UNION') have met and conferred in accordance with the
requirements of the Meyers - Milias -Brown Act; and
WHEREAS, the CITY and the UNION have reached agreement on wages, hours and
other conditions of employment for the period of July 1, 2011 through and including June 30,
2012;
WHEREAS, on October 25, 2011 the City Council of the City of Orange adopted
Resolution No. 10603 a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Orange Establishing a
Letter of Understanding Between the City of Orange and the Orange City Fire Fighters, Local
2384, International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL -CIO Effective July 1, 2011 through
June 30, 2012 (the "LOU "); and
WHEREAS, the City and the Union agreed to incorporate the provisions contained in
the LOU into a new Memorandum of Understanding once both parties had an opportunity to
review and concur on any and all language changes included in the new Memorandum of
Understanding
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orange
that the Memorandum of Understanding attached hereto as Exhibit "A" ( the "MOU ") is
approved and incorporated herein by reference as if fully set forth herein and that Resolution
No. 10324 be repealed in its entirety.
