A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE ADOPTING CHANGES TO THE
CITY OF ORANGE MANUAL OF GRADING.
WHEREAS, City Ordinance 2 -90 approved Orange Municipal Code Chapter 16.40
governing grading requirements for the City of Orange and incorporated the City of Orange
Manual of Grading as a part of the Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, On May 27, 2003, City Council adopted Ordinance 13 -03 to
incorporate water quality requirements in the grading ordinance.
WHEREAS, Section 16.40.050 of the Orange Municipal Code makes provisions for
the Council to make changes to the City of Orange Manual of Grading; and
WHEREAS, the last update of the City of Orange Manual of Grading was adopted in
1990; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to make revisions to the 1990 Manual of Grading to
reflect current State codes and permits, and to further clarify administrative procedures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby concurs in
the above findings; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 1990 City of Orange Manual of Grading be
revised in its entirety; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this
resolution.
